About Mosquitoes:
Mosquitoes find people by sensing carbon dioxide and lactic acid. People expel theses gases when they breathe. Female mosquitoes lay eggs in water, generally on the surface of the water. The larvae (wigglers or wrigglers) emerge from the eggs and eventually change into pupae (tumblers). The pupa becomes the adult mosquito. This process takes about three to four weeks. Mosquitoes, like all insects, have three body parts, the head, the thorax, and the abdomen. They also bite rabbits, birds, and other animals. Only female mosquitoes need blood. Males feed on plant nectar.
